How did RPM do it? First, by increasing the amount of material surrounding the inner hinge pins by 7%, then increasing the width of that thicker diameter by nearly 40%! RPM then increased the amount of material at the outer hinge pins by 28%! RPM also increased the width there too, by another 9%.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe support beams on RPM A-arms also got beefier. At their thickest, stock a-arms are roughly 1\/2��(12.7mm) thick, but taper down on both ends. That amounts to a loss of nearly 30% of their thickness at the outer hinge pins. Not with RPM! RPM A-arms are a full 1\/2��(12.7mm) over nearly their entire length! RPM only tapers them slightly at the inner hinge pins (.45��or 11.43mm at their narrowest) to match the maximum size allowable of the inner hinge pin bosses.
